It all began with Kimberley.

As I was finishing up the completion of her intake session before psychological testing, I asked her what she’d tried before. She said blithely, “I had a therapist, but I stopped going.”

I asked, “Why did you stop,” and she said, “She never looked up at me from her computer and kept asking me if I completed my “goals,” when all I wanted to talk about was how I was feeling and what to do about it. This is only one example of many where the corporatization of mental health care is missing the mark.

Our collaborative is built for clinicians by clinicians to keep private practice private and clinical leadership in the hands of each group practice owner so that we never lose touch again…

This initiative aims to support group practice owners by providing comprehensive management services, including credentialing, billing, social media marketing, and negotiating higher rates. We will leverage AI technology to enhance transparency and efficiency in these processes, ultimately leading to better rates per CPT code. We will also procure a dedicated CVO (credentials verification organization) to help with more rapid clinician credentialing within 2-4 weeks vs. 4-6 months. See more of what we offer here

The inspiration for Clinician Collaborative came from a poignant interaction with a patient who quit therapy because her therapist was more focused on typing at the computer than engaging with her. This incident highlights a broader issue: the corporatization of mental health care, where patients often feel neglected, and therapists are overwhelmed.

Private Equity (PE) firms are capitalizing on the burnout of group practice owners, often acquiring their practices at undervalued rates. However, I believe we can do better. Clinician Collaborative aims to offer different membership levels, catering to practice owners who either want to exit altogether with a clinician-centric acquisition or retain majority ownership while receiving robust support.

Currently, no deals in the market offer practice owners the option to retain majority ownership while gaining access to essential tools for success. Most offers involve relinquishing 70% ownership and continuing the same work for significantly less compensation. Clinician Collaborative offers a better alternative by providing tools and support without compromising ownership and autonomy.

Our mission is clear: to provide high-quality management services that empower practice owners to thrive without succumbing to corporate takeovers. We aim to keep mental health care personal, compassionate, and patient-focused.

“But can clinicians really manage an operation like this,” you ask? I have invested years in my continued leadership growth through mentorship (my business mentor owns a practice in Little Rock with $18 million in revenue), EOS visionary certification, and membership in the Vistage CEO group. I am a Kolbe Quick Start, Enneagram 7, and a Captain on the Predictive Index. My practice is on target to surpass 3 million in revenue and has been around since 2015. Only 5% of small business owners have made it over the past five years. I possess a unique blend of entrepreneurial tenacity and a deep understanding of the clinical world.

Majority Stakeholders: here is where we would put your bios and expertise and this would serve as part of our pitch deck
